Terms of Service

Please read the following if you are applying to serve as a WBS Internet teacher.

1. Acceptance of Terms
World Bible School Internet provides Christians with the opportunity to serve as Bible study helpers to WBS students. Therefore, it is necessary for all applicants to read and agree to these terms of service before they begin service. After you submit an application to serve as a WBS Internet teacher and have been approved, you agree to abide to these "Terms of Service" stated here.

2. Definition of WBS Internet Teacher
A WBS Internet teacher is defined as a voluntary position for which you apply using your personal e-mail account and Internet access. These accounts and access are paid for by yourself, in order to correspond with WBS Students. This correspondence is outlined by the exchange of e-mails between you the teacher and the WBS student which contain the copyrighted WBS courses.

3. Applicant Requirements
Upon activation as a WBS Internet teacher, you represent that you are of legal age to form a contract with WBS and are not barred from serving in such a voluntary capacity by any U.S. law. An active e-mail account with reliable Internet access will be required in order for you to fulfill your role as a teacher. You also agree to 1) provide accurate and complete information about yourself 2) maintain the accuracy of this data through keeping up-to-date profile information via myWBS Internet 3) recognize that WBS Internet activates or denies applicants at its own discretion.

You will be solely liable for any information you submit that is inaccurate, false, or incomplete. WBS Internet reserves the right to deny your application, suspend or deactivate your position as a WBS Internet teacher without notice.

4. Use of the WBS Courses
Use of the WBS courses are strictly regulated. If approved to be a WBS Internet teacher, you agree to use these courses with respect to the teaching position only. You also agree to be responsible for any mishandling or misuse which results in any copyright infringement. It is your responsibility to take reasonable measures to ensure the integrity and security of the WBS courses once you have been given permission to download them to a single computer which you own.

5. Student Assignment
WBS Internet teachers agree to have their personal information shared with those students who are assigned to them. The personal information of teachers which is shared with students is limited to the teachers first name, last name, and e-mail address. It is at the teacher's discretion to determine what, if any, other information is share with students.

At WBS Internet, it is our primary goal to match students with teachers as quickly as possible. Students are assigned to teachers on a "first-come first-serve" basis. Teachers are encouraged to sign up for the teacher rotation program to receive students on a regular scheduled basis. Teachers are also encouraged to request students from a target area. However, this does not guarantee teachers will receive students who are from their preferred area.

6. Student Reassignment
WBS Internet teachers should understand the level of importance which is placed on the needs of our students. WBS Internet asks that each volunteer teacher treat every student with the love of Christ, having no bias towards any one in regards to race, age, sex, origin, or belief. Therefore you, the teacher, are asked to agree to these terms of service that once you request students to be assigned to you, that you are solely responsible for fulfilling the teaching requirements of such individuals.

Only under extreme circumstances will students be reassigned to another teacher. Examples of such circumstances are outlined here, but not limited to the following:

The WBS Internet Teacher...
     has decided not to continue teaching with WBS-Internet
     is having computer problems
     is unavailable for a few weeks or more due to illness or vacation
     is unable to continue working with students due to unforeseen circumstances

It is important to the student's spiritual growth and well-being that a WBS Internet teacher commit to teach each student he receives until the student completes the WBS courses.

7. Administrative Correspondence
WBS Internet teachers agree to receive communication from WBS Staff as a necessary part for your fulfillment as a volunteer teacher. By agreeing to these terms, you permit WBS Internet to communicate to you via the e-mail address you submit in the
