General - Please Read
The use and copying of any WBS property on or for the Internet in any form is prohibited. If you are seeking to use WBS imagery, WBS web content, the WBS Courses, WBS promotional publications, or any other WBS media, on or for the Internet in any way, you must have express written permission from WBS Internet to do so. This permission is via a limited use license.

No WBS property may be reproduced, transmitted, transcribed, stored in a retrieval system, or translated into any language, changed into any form, by any means, without prior, licensed consent of WBS Internet. Licenses are acquired only after application and approval. The limited use license will give parameters for both duration and setting.

Should you apply for a license from WBS, during the time of application review, no action is to be taken on the applicant's behalf to further any plan to use WBS property/content until authorization is given by proper personnel. If a license is issued, it is to be used within limitations of the given parameters. Any other use of WBS property outside of the limiter parameters stated in the license agreement is strictly prohibited and will be considered as infringement.

Information posted here regarding these Terms and Conditions is subject to change without notice and in no way constitutes a commitment on behalf of WBS. WBS may have trademarks, copyrights, and/or other intellectual property rights not covered in this page. The furnishing of this document here does not, in any way, grant you license to these items.

Limited Use License
Application for a limited use license is necessary to use any WBS property on or for the Internet which includes, but is not limited to web content, courses, logos, imagery, print media, and trademarks. The license assures the contracted body with explicit permissible actions granted by WBS Internet. The license will state to its possessor the limited context in which the stated WBS property is allowed to be used. By explicitly expressing those set actions which are deemed as "allowable", the license is implying that all use not specifically stated within the approved final contract are hence "not permissible".

The license will be issued to individuals who conform to terms and conditions stated here and the terms and conditions in their individual contract. Contract terms and conditions may differ slightly than those listed here; individual license terms and conditions are to be followed if this is the case. Any license issued will be given a stated time parameter in which it will be considered "valid". WBS Internet will not issue a non-time limited license. When the license has expired, it is the license holder's responsibility to take necessary actions to renew it in order to prevent infringement. WBS Internet is not responsible for notifying license holders of the expiration dates of an issued license beyond that which is stated in the contract between you and WBS Internet.

Any license granted by WBS Internet will terminate immediately, possibly without notice, if you fail to comply with any provision of the issued license or with the Terms and Conditions stated here. If a license is terminated, you must immediately (i) stop using any WBS property on your website and (ii) delete all text, imagery, and the like, as well as destroying all other copies of property which you have been licensed.

Under no conditions is a license to be transferred; a license is only valid to the body it was issued. Any license disputes will recognize WBS Internet as the authority to resolve and mediate any conflicts; acceptance of a license agrees to these terms and conditions.

Web Site Use of WBS Copyright Imagery
WBS Generated/Owned Imagery
All imagery seen on any WBS web page is protected by copyright law. You may apply for a limited licensed use of WBS copyright imagery which must be approved and renewed at the stated term.

If you are issued a limited license for use of WBS copyright imagery in a web site context, you are instructed to adhere to the guidelines as stated in the license issued to you. Some of the basic guidelines for using WBS imagery are: (these may be moderately modified per case).

General Use Guidelines

Any imagery which appears on the Internet must be authorized by WBS Internet, regardless of the context.
The imagery is only to be used in a manner which is specifically stated in the limited license; any other use which is desired that is not specifically authorized must have authorization.
It may be sized as needed to fit the design layout of the site in which it appears, however the aspect ratio must remain consistent.
The imagery may not be used in a manner to imply that the site in which it is placed is in itself, World Bible School or World Bible School Internet or present a specific relationship with WBS when none exists.
WBS imagery may not be used commercially.
The imagery must remain it its original "design" and may not be altered.
The imagery may not be used to create obscene or scandalous works, as defined by the Federal Government, using the graphics or any modification of the graphics.
The imagery may not be rented, leased, time-shared, sold, or sub-licensed.
The imagery may not be made available for use or distributed apart from the specifically stated use.
It must appear distinctively separate from any other content that is not the property of WBS so that it does not appear to belong to or be propagated by WBS.

Self Generated Imagery
Any imagery generated by third party (non-WBS administration) users, without express authorization by WBS Internet, which attempts in some part to actually represent WBS or a specific relationship with WBS when none exists, is prohibited. It is a violation of WBS copyright if any third party generated imagery is found on non-WBS web sites which attempt to persuade users to believe the site is WBS or imply a relationship with WBS when none actually exists.

Use of WBS Website Content
All web site content as seen on any WBS page is protected by copyright law. Any use of this content is prohibited. Any use of this content which is granted by a limited license may not, in any way, attempt to persuade users that the site at which it is located is in fact WBS or imply a partnership when none actually exists. Content includes the following:

     1.   Meta Tag Keywords and "hidden text"; WBS reserves the right to use the Meta
           tag keywords which directly name, "World Bible School Internet" or "World Bible
           School" or any other keyword set which may explicitly imply the presence of WBS
           in an unauthorized manner, as determined by WBS Internet.
     2.   Web Text; all text found on WBS websites are not available for use.
     3.   URLs (Uniform Resource Locators) that attempt to represent WBS or imply a
           partnership when none exists. Example: www.wbscorrespondence.org is an
           example of an inappropriate URL.
     4.   Page Titles which attempt to represent WBS or imply a partnership when none
           exists.

Should you be issued a limited use license for any WBS website content, you will be required to distinctively separate it from any other content posted in the same page. It should appear that any other material which is also provided on the same page is not owned or propagated by WBS.

Use of WBS Copyright Electronic Courses
WBS courses are protected by copyright law. WBS courses that are available for download are limited to the use of WBS authorized Internet teachers who voluntarily work with the ministry. Upon activation, teachers are given a limited use license which allows them to distribute the WBS Courses as outlined in the "Getting Started" section of the WBS Internet Teacher Site (click here to view). The following guidelines should be reviewed for the use of these courses.

Teachers are limited to the use of the electronic WBS Courses for use with their Internet students which have been assigned to them by WBS Internet.
Teachers are not allowed to use the electronic WBS Courses in any other media form other than e-mail. Exceptions to this are as follows:

Teachers may print the WBS Courses for their personal study and review only.
Teachers may not print the electronic WBS Courses for public sharing.
Teachers may not publish the electronic WBS Courses in any third party publication such as a newspaper, magazine, newsletter, or bulletin.
Teachers may not publish the electronic WBS Courses in html or any other web based script, format, or code without express written permission from authorized WBS Internet personnel.

Translating the WBS Courses
If you want to translate the WBS Courses (or other printed/electronic materials) into other languages please submit a request to do so. If permission is granted, it is usually under the following conditions.
1. None of the teachings are to be changed which includes not changing any wording in the lessons; problems of translating from English to anther language are considered. This also includes a maintaining of the Bible version which is used. Individuals who change the Bible translation in the courses will be solely liable to the respective copyright owners for violations.
2. The translated lessons will not be printed and sold for profit.
3. WBS is to receive a copy of the completed and approved translation.

Supplemental Material
It is the teacher's discretion to use supplemental material in addition to the electronic WBS Courses provided upon activation. Any supplemental material which is desired to be used by a teacher must have a clear distinction made to the student that it does not appear to be owned or propagated by WBS.

By using supplemental material, a teacher takes full responsibility for ensuring its legal use in the manner by which they incorporate it in working with their WBS Internet students. WBS will not be held liable for individual actions taken by teachers who have chosen to use material other than the approved WBS courses, nor for its doctrinal or theological position.

Publication Use of WBS Copyright Media
All WBS media, printed and electronic, is protected by copyright law. All WBS media, printed and electronic, is the property of WBS and is hereby reserved for use as directed by proper WBS personnel. Below are general guidelines for the use of WBS print media.

If you desire to "re-print" any WBS media, you must obtain official permission for the re-print and its use.
You may not re-print any WBS media which is not it its original entirety; the re-print must appear as it was originally intended to by WBS. You may not cut, update, or otherwise change any WBS print media for any reason.
You may not re-create any WBS media using any personal or third party services.

Advertising WBS for the Internet
Advertising WBS on the Internet is prohibited with the exception that WBS does allow church or individual sites to "Link to WBS". If approved by WBS Internet, you may place a graphic and text link to the World Bible School web site for students to enroll.

By using the provided WBS advertisement, it in no way grants that the site which uses the advertisement, the exclusive right to those students which enroll via the provided link. Any promotional activities which are sought to be engaged on or for the Internet that involve any WBS property must be presented for approval to appropriate WBS Internet personnel. See bottom of page for application to advertise WBS on your site.

Applicable Law
Any dispute regarding a license or unauthorized use of WBS property shall be governed by the laws of the state of Texas, notwithstanding any conflicts of laws, as amended, and you agree to accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the state of Texas.
